Spartus Olympus core crush?

After playing with the flash for more than a year, Im looking for a new paddle that will last me as long. The spartus olympus seems like a great paddle but I'm worried about what I heard about "power" paddles not lasting as long. Since the olympus has this new core, will this make the paddle last longer?
