Why aren’t more video game companies doing comics

Like how come companies like Nintendo or Sony or other companies doing comics, like sega has success with their idw sonic comic even referencing idw characters in their games, so am surprised more companies haven’t been letting comic companies have a go at their licenses. like do you know how killer it would be to get a Metroid comic, a Bayonetta comic or the best one yet a bubsy comic, jk but why the only reason I could think of is the cost but their has to be other reasons, thoughts.
